A few years back, we asked employees to share why they loved working at UTMB. We were inundated with responses, sent in by faculty and staff, from volunteers and retirees, from all corners of campus and in some cases, from across the state. They were all great. The reasons were silly and serious, lighthearted and deep, touching, inspirational, and every other good thing. The reasons represented some of the best people and things at UTMB. When we first solicited and published the list, we said we hoped it served “to inspire folks to pause and reflect on some of the simple joys that are part of each day.” Now, at a different time and in a different place for our university community, I’d invite you to revisit the list.
