As the family is back in CO searching for Walter, my prayers are with them. As not only his wife works at UTMB, but his daughter graduated with me from there and now works there. She is the strongest woman I have ever met.

Re: If this proposal gets funded, it may be a case of “be careful what you ask for… you may get it.”

The thing that resides uppermost in my mind while playing Second Life is this world is created by its players. It's a dynamic, ever-changing collaboration that immediately tests all new ideas for marketability. You know almost immediately whether your idea/venture/product will "float" or not. The feedback is invaluable.

Good luck with your proposal.

I agree! Walking from the new plaza garage to the Admin. building each morning has been so pleasant for the past couple of weeks. Bird Guys (as Pep calls you), you have my utmost gratitude! I appreciated your efforts before--something HAD to be done. But now, starting the day sans bird poop smell, pressure washer mist and puddles really makes a difference. I hope the "situation" is better for y'all as well.

Thank you for sharing this exciting news! I've walked thru those dirty puddles each morning; made building entry decisions based on the location of the pressure washer; and had many discussions of Alfred Hitchcock's movie, "The Birds", for what seems like years. Then I read your article and realized that the change was not part of the migration process, but man made! Whoever came up with this idea was a genius and should be given a gold medal!

Thank you for the positive thoughts. We are definitely behind the scenes, but contribute to the diagnosis, treatment and monitors of illness and wellness. Don't beleive it when you hear - "A simple lab test". There are many details and controls that are involved in reporting accurate, precise and timely laboratory results! Thank you!

Good email etiquette is part and parcel of appropriate messaging behaviour which is necessary if folks are to avoid the problems mentioned above.

Sending to a large list requires a subtle set of messaging to avoid just these problems. Because this was a 'broadcast', she should have placed the list in the BCC field (blind carbon copy) rather than the CC field (carbon copy). Folks are mistakenly told not to use BCC because its viewed as 'sneaky' (other recipients can't see who been copied) - its not. When folks reply to a BCC list, only the original sender receives a reply - not the whole list. This would have saved several hundred unecessary replies.

I had the same task to assemble a best practice guide and came up with 7 Deadly Sins of Email which I use to teach this subject.

Hope this helps?
